The Saturday Powerball drawing did not result in any winners for the $470 million jackpot, however, there were other smaller wins from the night.

The winning lottery numbers drawn on Jan. 9 were 14, 26, 38, 45, 46, with a red Powerball of 13. The Power Play was 2X.

Although there were no winners for the $470 million jackpot, there were two Match 5 winners who won $1 million each. There were also 50 Match 4 plus Powerball winners who won $50,000.

Meanwhile, there were 18 Match 4 plus Powerball winners with the 2X Power Play, which means they won $100,000. Other players won prizes between $4 to $200 following the latest drawing.

Since there were no grand prize winners, the jackpot has now grown to $550 million with a cash value of $411.4 million.

Meanwhile, the most recent person to claim a lottery win was a man from Iowa, who had been driving around with a $50,000 prize-winning ticket in his work car for almost a year.

After Casey Langan, 49, was recently laid off by his company, he began cleaning out his work car when he found his lottery ticket inside of the center console.

Langan decided to check his numbers online on the Iowa lottery site and was thrilled to learn he won some money.

“It couldn’t be better timing: Christmas, just getting let go from the job,” Langan told lottery officials when he claimed his prize. “It was perfect timing.”

Langan’s ticket was a Match 4 plus a Powerball win. He claimed his prize five weeks before the ticket was set to expire.

Lottery winners have 365 days from the date of the drawing to claim their Powerball prizes. The next drawing will take place on Wednesday.
