Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s on-again-off-again relationship might go down in history as one of the longest, most dramatic celebrity relationships. Now, with Chris Hemsworth’s latest interview, it’s possible something new might be adding to the story.

The Australian news site news.com.au spoke with Chris about his baby brother Liam, and in doing so it’s possible the “Thor” actor might have shaded Cyrus.

“We got him out of Malibu!” he quipped.

Malibu, California was where Cyrus and Liam famously lived uring their relationship and saw their home burn due to wildfires in 2018. It has long been believed that Cyrus's 2017 song, “Malibu,” was about the couple and their love.

“We watched the sun go down as we were walking / I'd spend the rest of my life just standing here talking,” Cyrus sings in the song.

Liam and Cyrus first met on the set of “The Last Song” in 2009, which sparked their romance and eventual eight-month marriage before they split in August 2019, People reported.

Now, Liam is back living in Australia and it seems Chris is happy to have him home.

"He's out there training and staying fit, and back in Australia doing his thing,” he said.

Chris even confessed that Liam’s new lifestyle might have caused him to usurp his big brother in the fitness realm.

"I think he's done it," Chris said. "Did you see the 'Men's Health' cover? I thought, 'Not bad kid. Not bad'.

Chris is married to Elsa Pataky and the couple is parents to three children-- 7-year-old India and 6-year-old twins Tristan and Sasha, whom they are raising in Byron Bay, Australia.
