A 28-year-old hotel employee was allegedly strangled to death for commenting on his neighbor's wife. According to local reports, the victim allegedly raised questions about his neighbor's wife's character.

The incident took place Sunday in the southern Indian city of Bengaluru in Karnataka. The victim was reportedly drinking with his neighbor when he made some comments about the latter's wife. The neighbor got agitated and strangled the victim to death. A third person, who was also the victim's neighbor, was also present at the scene at the time of the incident.

According to local media reports, the two neighbors abandoned the victim's body on the road outside a house before fleeing from the scene. Police said they later nabbed one of the two suspects in the case. The main suspect remains on the loose, police said.

An investigation is currently underway into the incident. Other details about the incident remain unknown.

Earlier in January, two people were arrested for allegedly killing a man whose body was recovered from a plastic bag. Local media reports said one of the suspects killed the man after doubting that he was having an illicit relationship with his wife. The suspect later confessed to killing the man following a heated argument. Police said the man strangled the victim to death and later disposed of his body.
