Lucious and Andre
Lucious (Terrence Howard, left) and Andre (Trai Byers, right) will run into problems when they attempt to buy a music-streaming service in the fall finale of "Empire." Fox/Chuck Hodes

Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) have constantly been competing with one another on Fox's "Empire," but at the end of the day they can always agree on the idea of family. Lucious still looks out for Cookie and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray), and it will be their turn to return the favor in the fall finale, titled "Et Tu, Brute?"

The episode 10 synopsis reveals Lucious will "make a reckless play" for Swiftstream, the music-streaming service he's been looking to acquire. Lucious feels he'll be the most dominant figure in music if he gets the service, but the move could come back to haunt him.

In a promotional video, Mimi (Marisa Tomei) is shown running a meeting at Empire, where she arranges a vote to remove Lucious as the CEO of the company. While Mimi may have her own plans to take the firm from Lucious, Cookie and Hakeem are shown talking and they appear poised to help out their family.

"Lyon Dynasty may be our company, but Empire is our family," Cookie says in the promo video. "And anybody that tries to steal that from us is our enemy."

With Laz (Adam Rodriguez) now out of the picture, Cookie will put together a concert to be held at the prison where she spent 17 years. Cookie's love life may even get more complicated, as Lucious is shown holding Cookie's hand with tears in his eyes in the video.

Just when it seemed there couldn't possibly be any more drama in Hakeem's love life, an old lover is going to return in the fall finale. After being sent away by Lucious in Season 1, Camilla (Naomi Campbell) shows up at Hakeem's place. Hakeem cares for Laura (Jamila Velazquez) the most, but what will he do when he sees his past love? There's also the issue of Anika (Grace Gealey), who's beginning to obsess over him. She's pregnant with his child, unbeknownst to him.

In the final moments of episode 9, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Skye Summers (Alicia Keys) shared a kiss after performing "Powerful" together. Jamal is openly gay, but did their kiss mean something? The two are also expected to perform the song live together in the fall finale.
