The euro fell against the dollar on Thursday, relinquishing earlier gains, as investors scaled back positions ahead of a U.S. jobs report that markets hope will offer insight into the state of the U.S. economy.

The euro was last trading at $1.3140 EUR=, down about 0.1 percent, after rising to $1.3234, according to Reuters data. Traders said a close below $1.3125, the 38.2 percent retracement of its November-to-June decline, could provide scope for further euro losses. (Editing by James Dalgleish)
