George Clooney shared the surprising changes in his life after having Amal as his wife.

Clooney and Amal have been married for six years already. But in a recent interview with "CBS Sunday Morning," he once again admitted that he didn't expect all the changes that took place in his life after marrying the humanitarian lawyer.

"There is no question that having Amal in my life changed everything for me. It was the first time that everything that she did and everything about her was infinitely more important than anything about me," Clooney was quoted by People, as saying.

"And then we had these two knuckleheads. It is very fulfilling and something I wasn't at all... didn't see coming.”

Clooney has been open about his disposition in life after his first divorce from Talia Balsam. The "Money Monster" actor thought he would never get married again. He never thought that he would have his own family and he had been telling his friends about it. But even his close pals, including Matt Damon, could tell how Amal changed him.

“But once he met [Amal], everything changed,” Damon said.

Clooney recalled when they started dating and shared that they never talked about marriage. He also recalled how his proposal went after it took a couple of minutes for Amal to say "yes" to him.

"I asked her out of the blue, took her a long time to say yes. I was on my knee for like 20 minutes, I finally said, 'Look, I'm gonna throw my hip out,'" Clooney shared.

The "Ocean's Eleven" star also admitted that having kids was not in the cards at the time. But one day, they just realized that they wanted to have children and both of them were on it.

"We never talked about having kids, and then one day we just said, 'What do you think?'" Clooney shared.

"We go to the doctor and you do the ultrasound. They're like, 'You got a baby boy!' and I was like, 'Baby boy, fantastic!' And they go, 'And you got another one there.' I was up for one. Again, I'm old. All of a sudden, it's two. It's hard to get me to not talk and I just stood there for like 10 minutes just staring at this piece of paper going, 'What? Two?'"

The Clooney's twins Alexander and Ella are already 3 years old. In the same interview, Clooney gave his fans a glimpse of how fatherhood and being a married man changed his views especially toward his mom.

"It's been a while since I did 15 loads of laundry in a day and mopped floors and all these doors over here I stained," the Oscar winner said. "I always say I felt like my mother in 1964, because she had two kids and no help. I don't know she did it now, I have more sympathy for her now than ever."

Clooney is directing and starring in the upcoming sci-fi drama "The Midnight Sky" that will be released on Dec. 10.
