Girl Allegedly Had Father Killed For Sexually Harassing Her; Four Arrested

A 17-year-old girl in India allegedly had her father killed by three friends after he sexually harassed her. Cops have arrested the girl, her boyfriend and three friends for the slaying.

The girl rushed to the neighbor’s home around 1:30 a.m. Monday and allegedly told them that her father had been attacked by a group of people. Police responding to the residence in Bengaluru in the Indian state of Karnataka found the 46-year-old man lying in a pool of blood. He had been hacked multiple times and then hit with a hammer, The Times of India reported.

During the investigation, cops questioned the 17-year-old girl and found inconsistencies in her statement. According to the police, the girl confessed to having her boyfriend and friends murder her father. The teenager admitted to the police that she told her boyfriend that her father was sexually harassing her. Later, the boyfriend asked three of his friends for help and together they hatched a plan to kill the father.

The man and his two daughters were alone in the house Sunday when the girl’s mother was out of town. Around 12:30 a.m., the four accused arrived at the girl’s house and knocked on the door. After the girl opened the gate, the suspects attacked the father. After the slaying, the four accused fled the scene.

The victim’s two daughters, aged 17 and 11 witnessed their father’s death, India Today reported.

Police have arrested the four accused and the girl. They also recovered the murder weapon.

The sexual harassment claim made by the minor is being investigated. The allegation was corroborated by the girl’s mother. According to investigators, the victim and his wife often fought about him sexually harassing their eldest daughter.

Investigators are looking into other possible motives. The four teenagers and the girl will be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board for further legal action.

In October, a 50-year-old Singaporean man was sentenced to 23 years in prison for sexually assaulting his 11-year-old daughter. A Feng Shui master advised him to have sex with a virgin to avoid a life-threatening misfortune.
