  • Steffan Wilson has been accused of attempted murder after a nightclub attack

In a story that has taken extraordinary twists, a groom whose best man attacked his bride on the wedding night has been charged with attempted murder after a nightclub attack.

Tomos Wilson, the groom's best man, and brother assaulted the bride and several members of her family on July 27, the night of the wedding.

He did so apparently because she tried to convince the groom that it was time for bed because he had had too much to drink.

Erin Mason, the bride and her new husband Steffan Wilson, split after their wedding party following the incident where Tomos dragged her down a flight of stairs. He also proceeded to attack her mother and two sisters in a drunken row.

Wilson then went back to his barracks in Yorkshire, where he served as a commander.

He has now been charged with attempted murder following an incident near a nightclub in Northallerton near the army base.

He was remanded in custody following an alleged assault done on a 43-year-old man in the early hours of December 1, and he is expected to stand trial during the next year.

In the meantime, it is believed his bride has already moved on and is in a new relationship.

The 29-year-old brother of the groom and the best man was sentenced to 12 months of community service and to pay fines to each of the women he assaulted after he appeared at recent sentencing in Aberystwyth, Wales.

In addition to assaulting members of the bride’s family, Tomos reportedly told his brother that he was no longer fit to have their last name. He also raged that Steffan should never have married Mason George.

During the sentencing, after he was convicted of the assault charges, the judge added that Tomos’ actions marred the ceremony with bad memories of what had until that point been a happy event.

Speaking from his home in Llanybydder, Andrew Wilson, the father of both of the men, stated the truth had been revealed at the court hearing, and if it had, then his son would have been cleared.

However, the father of the bride Colin Jones claimed they were satisfied with what had been said in court and the outcome. He did not want to add anything else.

One of the neighbors said the way it turned out the lad must have put his family ahead of his new bride, and that was that.
