Gundam Evolution - Pale Rider
The Pale Rider mobile suit in Gundam Evolution Gundam Evolution

KEY POINTS

  • Pale Rider excels at mid-range combat
  • The suit deals low damage per shot
  • Pale Rider's ultimate greatly increases its CQC capabilities

The Pale Rider can easily be described as the "Call of Duty" class in "Gundam Evolution." It has a fast-firing hitscan weapon that's effective up to medium ranges, and it's packed with vanilla abilities commonly seen in the hands of an ordinary soldier.

However, the Pale Rider is still capable of extraordinary feats when in the hands of a skilled pilot. Its versatility can be of immense value to any team, whether it's for holding the frontline or setting up a good flank to push the enemy back.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The main strength of the Pale Rider is its ease of use. Players only need to point at the enemy and hold down the trigger, and they'll immediately contribute to the team.

When combined with the proper tactical mindset and good mechanical skill, Pale Rider can tear through targets as quickly as any other specialized mobile suit. Its Frag Grenade and Hades ultimate both improve the suit's killing power substantially.

This unit is also one of the few ones in the game that can heal teammates, making it a very valuable frontline fighter.

On the other hand, Pale Rider deals low damage per shot, and its small, 26-round magazine means players won't be able to spray down a lane for as long as they would like to. Scoring kills in close quarters or areas with plenty of cover may be difficult with this mobile suit.

Tips and Tricks

The EMP Grenade is best used to block chokepoints or prevent melee suits like Barbatos from diving. Enemies can still dash away when slowed, so don't expect to score easy kills with this ability.

Hades removes the zoom and movement speed penalty when aiming down Pale Rider's machine gun, which makes it much easier to use in close quarters. It also fully reloads the magazine, so don't be afraid to use it mid-duel.

Also, when Hades expires, Pale Rider becomes immobilized for a short duration, which can catch players off guard. To avoid getting killed by this effect, keep track of Hades' duration by looking at the meters on the sides of the HUD whenever the ultimate ability is active.
