From Spring Fever to June Weddings to Countdown to Christmas and beyond, Hallmark Channel’s known for its many seasonal rom-com programming events, but, once upon a time, AKA five years ago on April 5, 2014, the network decided to give a new holiday a try: April Fools’ Day.

With today being April 1, there are pranks galore out there, but this isn’t one of them. Directed by Kevin Fair and written by Talia Green and Nina Weinman, “Lucky in Love” starred Jessica Szohr (“Gossip Girl”) in her first and only Hallmark movie, as well as “Code Black” actor Benjamin Hollingsworth.

“When Mira’s [Szohr] April Fool’s Day tricks materialize, she finds herself promoted to the perfect job, dating the perfect man and living in the perfect home,” according to the synopsis. “Mira’s newly upgraded life even involves working with her CEO, [Erin (Deidre Hall)], and her good friend, [Jonah (Hollingsworth)], on a coveted work project. When these seemingly positive changes result in big challenges, Mira realizes that the pursuit of perfection is a fool’s errand. In order to achieve a life that’s perfect for her, Mira must let go of perfection and chase what brings her true happiness.”

Whether you’ve seen this movie before and want to watch it again or you’ve never heard of it but want to give it a try, you’re in luck! Hallmark Channel’s airing “Lucky in Love,” which also stars Ryan Kennedy (Liam), today at 4 p.m. EDT.

If you aren’t able to catch the movie when it’s on today, you can always watch it online on Amazon, iTunes, YouTube, Google Play or Vudu.

Go ahead, enjoy April Fools’ Day 2019 with some Hallmark romance instead of the usual antics that come with the annual holiday.
