Princess Eugenie was reportedly hurt and upstaged by Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, respectively.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are true-blooded princesses. However, they have been reduced to walk-on parts in the royal family life ever since their cousins Prince William and Prince Harry’s wives took the center stage.

In fact, they were were reportedly hurt when Middleton scored a joint engagement with their grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.

“It particularly hurt when Kate did solo engagements with the Queen during the Diamond Jubilee. They felt snubbed,” a source said.

Princess Beatrice was reportedly “quite icy” to Middleton because she became popular with the monarch. Her ill-feelings toward the future queen consort also led to Princess Eugenie’s awkward relationship with the Duchess of Cambridge.

Meanwhile, many felt that Princess Eugenie’s thunder on her big day was stolen by Markle when she reportedly announced her pregnancy on the said occasion. Several sources denied that this happened, but some insisted that it did, resulting in a tension between Markle and Prince Harry’s cousins Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.

An insider revealed to Woman’s Day that there has been tension brewing between the York princesses and Prince Harry and Markle. Princess Beatrice has told her friends that she will not invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on her big day if she will have her way.

Markle allegedly stealing Princess Eugenie’s thunder on her wedding day has become a topic on social media especially after the couple announced their pregnancy. Many noticed that shortly after Prince Harry and Markle confirmed that they were expecting, Princess Eugenie’s mom, Ferguson, shared snaps of her daughter’s big day.

“As soon as Harry and Meghan officially confirmed their pregnancy via Instagram as they began their tour to Australia days after Eugenie’s wedding, you’ll recall that her mum [Sarah Ferguson] dropped a treasure trove of Eugenie’s wedding pics just hours after. It was obviously done on purpose as revenge,” a source said.

Many also questioned the timing of the announcement of Princess Beatrice’s engagement. It was done while Prince Harry and Markle were doing an official tour to South Africa. Markle’s fans felt that the good news overshadowed the couple’s royal trip.
