Voice shopping might be the latest trend this holiday season, with major retailers having already partnered with leading voice assistants to offer shopping experience to users.

While Target and Walmart have teamed up with the Google Express service, Best Buy is now selling a limited category of products through Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant.

With the biggest shopping festival of the year — Black Friday — being held on Nov. 24, chances are that Alexa’s parent company, Amazon, may offer special offers for the holiday via the shopping assistant.

If you are using Alexa, you will be able to learn about and make purchases on Best Buy’s products, including its Deal of the day. If you are confused about which laptop or TV you should go for, the voice assistant will ask you a series of questions and recommend products based on your answers.

If you use the Google Home speaker, you can order items from Target using voice commands. Walmart, Costco and Walgreens are already offering the functionality.

For most of these retailers, you will need to link your retailer account with the Google Home speaker before starting shopping. You will also get recommendations based on your previous purchases.

Google has also waived its $95 membership fee for its Google Express shopping service, which is facilitating the experience.

The fact that Best Buy has teamed up with Amazon, which is its rival in retail space is interesting. The company also offers shopping services through the Google Assistant. Best Buy has opted for a different approach than retailers such as Walmart and Target — it has teamed up with both Google and Amazon, while others have opted only for Google.

Amazon is also expected to roll out Alexa exclusive deals, like it did last year. At that time, customers just had to ask an Alexa-enabled device the question — “Alexa, what are your deals —” and it would provide the user a list of all the items on sale.

The company has already started offering some deals including:

Amazon Echo Dot and Fire TV bundle available at $20 discount for $69.98, original price $89.98

Amazon Tap at available $50 discount for $79.99, original price $129.99

Yi 4K Sports Action camera available at $45 discount for $254.99, original price $299.99

Anker Karapax iPhone X case available at $16 discount for $9.99, original price $25.99

TaoTronics noise cancelling smartphones available at $9.50 discount for $36.49, original price $45.99

Acer Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop with 15.6-inch full HD display, Intel Core i7, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD, GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card available at $50 discount for $1049.99, original price $1099.99

Both Google and Amazon are expected to offer Black Friday deals around Nov. 24. Ordering through voice assistants might be a good way to avoid the holiday rush.
