Jordan Peele reacted to Meghan Markle spending Christmas with the royals with a dark joke.

On Friday, the "Get Out" director took to Twitter and wrote "A lot of tea cups lying around Buckingham" while adding a link to Hollywood Reporter's article about Prince Harry's fiancée joining his family this holiday. To emphasize that Peele was just joking, he added a follow-up tweet using Whoopi Goldberg's line from "Ghost." "You in danger, girl," the subtitle reads.

According to Huffington Post, Peele's "Get Out" is a satirical thriller. It features a white woman bringing home her black boyfriend to meet her family for the first time. They ended up being wildly racist and violent to him.

Since Prince Harry is white and Markle is a woman of color, many understand Peele's humor. Also, the use of "tea cup" may reference to a number of things.

The British royals love their tea which is served in a tea cup. In the Peele's film, Catherine Keener's Missy Armitage uses a tea cup to hypnotize people, including the main character, Daniel Kaluuya's Chris Washington, her boyfriend.

Many found Peele's tweet funny as it has some parallel to Prince Harry and Markle's relationship. A number reacted to his post on Twitter.

"strong contender for best tweet of the year," Flavia F. wrote.

"She'll be fine, or imma bust in there and rescue her myself ," elo-okay posted.

"Funnily enough, we never see his many ex girlfriends anymore and the palace has lots of staff," andrew macauley added.

"You are a Genius please keep making movies. A new season of Peele and Key would be great too. ;)" Tara True wrote.

Peele's tweet also sprang a number of memes. Some show support to Markle, while others feature the queen wearing a tea cup hat.

While some recognize Peele's humor, others find it offensive. "Oh stop being so old fashioned negative about this. I think they love her. Mostly," Ken Scott wrote.

"youre a racist piece of [explicit]," ANDREWMSDAY wrote.

In related news, Markle just joined the royal family on their annual Christmas lunch that the queen hosted herself. Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker-Bowles and more were also in attendance.
