Multiple reports of actor Justin Theroux “missing” his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston were debunked by Gossip Cop on Sunday.

It all started when Aniston posed for the cover of InStyle Magazine’s September issue along with giving a lengthy interview. Tabloids quickly picked up the story and she easily dominated the news cycle for the day.

In the midst of it all, Hollywood Life– a publication that known for its notoriously fake “sources” that claim to provide it with “exclusive” stories – gave birth to the rumor that Theroux had seen the pictures from the photo shoot and had started missing his former love, through an array of similar stories, tweaked to read a little different each time.

The publication claimed in one of the story, that was titled, “Justin Theroux Blown Away By Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Sexy’ ‘InStyle’ Shoot — Does He Want Her Back?” that a source close to the actor told them Theroux had seen all of Aniston’s pictures from the photo shoot and “he kind of misses her and is suffering major FOMO. She looks hot!”

“The way he’s been going on and on, it’d be easy to assume he wants her back,” the source added. “But it’s actually the norm for them. The marriage is over, but they’re still each other’s biggest cheerleaders. It’s the same with Jen. She checks in with Justin all the time and is still really protective of him.”

The publication stressed both of them had moved on and are “happy to leave that part of their relationship behind them. This is their new normal.”

Similarly, in a second article by the infamously fraudulent magazine, another unnamed source said: “Justin has real fears that he will never be able to find another woman like Jennifer. The more time Justin spends away from Jen, meeting new people and being single, the more he realizes how incredible he had it with Jen.”

According to Gossip Cop, none of the articles made any sense since neither Theroux nor Aniston have publicly shown any support for each other’s careers even since their split six months ago.

Secondly, the celebrity rumor-busting outlet points that both the articles read mostly the same. Hence, Hollywood Life could have mentioned all the details from the so-called source in its first article and there would have been no requirement for a second article, except if the publication was looking to double its clicks.

Lastly, it was difficult to believe Theroux, or any other famous celebrity, would surround their inner circle with friends who would leak such private information to the tabloids. None of the claims made by Hollywood Life has been corroborated by anyone in Theroux’s team so far.

Meanwhile, according to one of the answers given by Aniston in the InStyle interview, she has stopped caring about baseless rumors and opinions about her circulating in the world.

“The misconceptions are ‘Jen can’t keep a man,’ and Jen refuses to have a baby because she’s selfish and committed to her career,’” she said. “Or that I’m sad and heartbroken. First, with all due respect, I’m not heartbroken. And second, those are reckless assumptions. No one knows what’s going on behind closed doors. No one considers how sensitive that might be for my partner and me.”

“They don’t know what I’ve been through medically or emotionally. There is a pressure on women to be mothers, and if they are not, then they’re deemed damaged goods. Maybe my purpose on this planet isn’t to procreate. Maybe I have other things I’m supposed to do?” she added.
