After the fiasco that was their vintage t-shirts, Kendall and Kylie Jenner managed to do something right with their new swimsuit collection for Kendall + Kylie, which took Revolve.com by storm.

As far as the sisters are concerned, they have their mom to thank for this collection. “We were inspired by old school ‘80s bathing suits like my mom used to wear,” Kylie told Vogue. “My mom has the most amazing ‘70s and ‘80s swim collection. I’ve worn some lately, so we were really inspired by that sexy sport vibe.”

Kendall added that they styled their swimsuits to be high-cut because it looks amazing on all body types. At the same time, Kendall loves how their swimsuits can pass as lingerie. “I’m definitely a fan of the ‘swimtimates’ trend!” Kendall said. “I love layering lingerie and swim into my everyday looks, especially during the summertime.”

Her sister agreed, saying, “I think swimwear sometimes has a lingerie feel to it, so it only makes sense that people combine the two clothing styles together.”

However, Kendall and Kylie have different views regarding one- and two-piece swimsuits. Kendall prefers one-piece suits because it is “classic and chic,” but Kylie loves two-pieces because it gives her the chance to mix and match.

Fashion is really an integral part of Kendall and Kylie’s life, and the two of them love setting trends. Kendall recently told W Magazine that she currently can’t get enough of “great bodysuits with statement jeans,” while Kylie is obsessed with “baseball caps, colorful latex, and denim mini skirts with heels.”

The two are also eager to experiment with their styles this fall. Kendall is leaning towards soft fabrics paired with the most unexpected pieces, while Kylie is opting for elevated laidback pieces with pops of color. “We are loving slip dresses still and are playing around with how we style them. We love them with an oversized deconstructed denim jacket or a puffer,” said Kendall.

Kylie added, “We are also loving polished athleisure looks. We love velour in rich colors and pairing it with feminine silk camisoles and bodysuits—super comfortable and chic.”
