Kim Kardashian's wedding anniversary marks one year since the reality TV star walked down the aisle with basketball player Kris Humphries before splitting up 72 days later.

Now, a year later on the same date, Humphries' parents are calling it quits and preparing for a divorce. His mother Debra had filed for divorce earlier this month, TMZ reported. The documents obtained by the celebrity gossip site revealed that she had filed in Minnesota following the breakdown of her relationship with Kris' father, William. In addition to Kris, the Humphries have two other adult children, Krystal and Kaela.

A year ago, Humphries and Kardashian tied the knot, celebrating with a reception boasting 440 guests including Eva Longoria, Demi Lovato and Ryan Seacrest, according to the Daily Mail. Humphries is currently seeking an annulment of his marriage, saying that the wedding was staged for the reality show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."

The estranged couple has a court date set for November, which means that the divorce settlements may be carried over into next year. Kardashian and Humphries became engaged last May after dating for six months, and the reality TV show star donned three different dresses for the occasion.

Each dress was a Vera Wang creation costing $20,000, and she also wore $10 million in jewelry for the ceremony, the Daily Mail reported.

An average of 4.2 million viewers watched Kardashian's two-day wedding special on E!, which yielded the same number of watchers as the Manchester United and Barcelona match did on Fox, according to Bleacher Report.

The 20.5k engagement ring designed by Lorraine Schwartz reportedly cost Humphries a whopping $2 million, the website also reported.

Kardashian spent a pretty penny on the atmosphere for the wedding as well, dropping $2 million on flowers alone. However, it is believed that the family earned a total of $17.9 million from the wedding through coverage deals.

Now Kardashian is dating rap sensation Kanye West and is spending the anniversary with him in Hawaii. The star posted a photo of the sunset with the accompany text "Love always wins" on her Twitter Sunday, indicating that romance is certainly on her mind a year following her marriage.

Earlier this week, Kardashian also posted photos of herself showing off her curves in a floral bikini in Hawaii with the caption "Me Ke Aloha." This translates to "with love."

Kardashian may be relaxing on the beach with her boyfriend of four months, but things were a little tenser for West last week. Humphries sent the hip-hop star a deposition subpoena inside a Nordstrom box to Kardashian's house on Wednesday, lawyers revealed, according to The New York Daily News.

Lawyer Laura Wesser told a judge that a "strange individual" showed up at Kardashian's home in Southern California on July 26, proceeding to loiter for "two to three hours." The individual asked to see West, and eventually left a Nordstrom box containing the deposition request.

"Our process server rang the doorbell and amazingly she answered. ... He asked if (West) was present, and she said he was on the telephone," Humphries' lawyer Marshall Waller told the judge, according to the New York Daily News. "If Mr. West's attorney ever calls us back, we'll be happy to have a talk. But as a practical matter, that hasn't happened. We're jumping through hoops. We'll probably have to serve him in public."

Perhaps Kardashian had been channeling thoughts of her sour marriage on her one-year anniversary, posting the following to Twitter over the weekend:

"It's not that people don't know what they got until it's gone; they just didn't think they'd lose it."
