  • Kim Kardashian failed her baby bar exam on her first try
  • When she was about to retake it, her family had to deal with COVID-19
  • She still managed to study while dealing with COVID-19

In the latest episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," Kim Kardashian reflected on her family's struggle with COVID-19 and how she managed to study despite the challenges.

The 40-year-old reality star revealed in the said episode, which was filmed last November, that she and her 5-year-old son Saint had dealt the coronavirus for weeks. At the same time, she also had to prepare for an important exam.

Kim, who revealed that she had failed the baby bar exam on her first try, was determined to retake it. However, she encountered another obstacle along the way: COVID-19.

"Saint has COVID, and I'm just really worried about him. He's crying and coughing on me, and I'm trying to not freak anyone out, but now I have to figure out what we're gonna do -- especially with the three other kids," Kardashian said in front of the camera.

The mother of four also had a conversation with her family doctor and noted that her daughter North was also unwell.

"North is saying she's feeling sick, and I slept in bed with her last night. She tested negative, but I'm gonna test her again with me on Saturday," she told the doctor.

Kardashian sought help from her friend Sam Farkas, an attorney, so she could study for the upcoming exam. Amid preparations, caring for her children remained her top priority. "Taking care of my kids comes first," she said.

Even when she learned that she and North also had COVID-19, Kardashian still studied with Farkas via video chat. She continued to prepare for the exam even as the production took a break and the entire family and all crew members underwent quarantine. It was not easy, however.

"We're supposed to be doing 12-hour study sessions every day leading up to the test, and I've just been feeling so sick and so just awful with COVID that I can hardly even get out of bed and study," Kardashian shared. "If I feel like I do now, it's gonna be really hard to sit up and take a test for seven hours. And I'm on heavy medication right now."

Kardashian was frustrated with the situation and said, "I should be in full study mode and tune everything out. But it's so hard, and I just want to give up."

But the reality star was determined to retake the test. Even COVID-19 couldn't stop her. "I am so tired. I did it, though. I pulled through. Even if I don't pass, it's OK."

Kardashian explained that taking an exam while dealing with COVID-19 is the "hardest thing" she has ever done.

"I definitely feel like I knew more this time on the test than last time on the test. I feel really confident about that. If I do pass, it's a miracle, because I had COVID!" she said further.

"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on E!
