There was a time when Lady Gaga turned heads at red carpets with her outrageous costumes. And of course who can ever forget her Meat dress from the 2010 VMA’s. But now, it's safe to say that over the years, Gaga has toned down a lot.

Lady Gaga wore an outfit made of raw meat to the MTV Video Music Awards 2010. The meat, which the singer said had a sweet smell, came from a local family butcher in Los Angeles. The meat dress quickly turned infamous prompting the singer to defend her choice."Well, it is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian. As you know, I am the most judgment-free human being on the earth. However, it has many interpretations but for me this evening. If we don't stand up for what we believe in and if we don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And, I am not a piece of meat," Gaga told Ellen DeGeneres. In October, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' (PETA) President Ingrid Newkirk invited Gaga to a dinner seeking an explanation about her dress. The singer recently told CNN's Anderson Cooper, "What I was really trying to say was dead meat is dead meat. And anyone that's willing to take their life and die for their country is the same. You're not gay and dead, straight and dead. You are dead." Reuters

But, Gaga never fails to make a standout style statement wherever she goes.

With MET Gala 2019 just a few hours from now, the 33-year-old musician left to attend the pre-Met Gala dinner in New York City, and boy! Was she looking stunning!

The Shallow singer had all eyes on her as she attended Anna Vintour’s pre-Met Gala party, wearing a short black and white striped dress from Marc Jacobs 2019 Fall runway collection.

Her wide round dress hovered around her legs. The costume was made out of sheer material, and was covered in ruffles and featured layers of black and white striped fabric.

Well, the most striking part of Gaga’s outfit was her black bonnet, an array of gauzy black fabric, which made her look like an inverted spinning top.

The Poker Face singer’s outfit was both modern and retro in equal parts. Since the length and overall look of the dress was pretty modern, the layers of fabric around the neck appeared like the ornate ruffs, which were worn by the royalties in the sixteenth and seventeenth century.

Gaga covered her slender legs in black stockings, which she paired with a super-tall pair of black platform boots. She completed her look with a baby blue eyeshadow and a pale pink lipstick.

Besides Lady Gaga, the pre-Met Gala party also saw Serena Williams, who walked in with her husband in a hard-to-miss neon-yellow dress, which she paired with a dark blue blazer.

The Carpool Karaoke host James Corden arrived with his wife, Julia Carey. The Avengers: Endgame star Tessa Thompson too attended the dinner in a red and white skirt and top.

Former One Direction member, Harry Styles was also seen channeling the classic 50’s style in his extra-large high-waist trousers, which he paired with a red velvet jacket with brown lapels over a white undershirt, that showed off his tattoos, besides Harry, Gwyneth Paltrow, Elle Fanning also attended the dinner.
