Riot Games recently launched Lunar Beast, the biggest event to date in "League of Legends: Wild Rift." For players wondering what the event is all about, here are some important things they should know.

The Lunar Beast is the Lunar New Year event in "League of Legends: Wild Rift," in celebration of the Year of the Ox. The event, which runs from Feb. 4 until Mar. 10, is set in the Lunar Beast universe, in the futuristic 2057 world loaded with neon lights, ancient temples and skyscrapers. During the event, players need to complete challenges to level up ancient Relics, with each Relic linked to one of the event's five champions.

To activate each Relic in the event, players should go to the Headquarters menu and then get into games to complete the challenges. This must be done one Relic at a time. The Relics include the Lunar Spear -Jarvan IV, Lunar Flintlocks - Miss Fortune, Lunar Blade - Fiora, Lunar Bear - Annie, Lunar Axe - Darius and Lunar Gauntlets - Alistair.

Players earn Lunar Tokens and unlock rewards for every Relic they complete. The event also features themed skins, poses and a lot more items available at the in-game Lunar Beast store and purchasable using Lunar Tokens. Apart from those, players also get a special Relic cosmetic version of the champion's weapon.

On Wednesday, Riot Games launched the Lunar Beast skins on "League of Legends: Wild Rift." These exclusive skins feature an interesting combo of contemporary streetwear with ancient weaponry, providing a unique style for each champion. The skins are also available for "League of Legends" players but Miss Fortune's skin is exclusive to "Wild Rift."

The developer is also holding a limited-time event, which allows players to earn more rewards, including emotes, loot, borders and icons. Riot Games earlier said that it would announce a special update on the Lunar Beast event on Feb. 12.

"League of Legends: Wild Rift" is the mobile version of the hit MOBA title "League of Legends." The game, which is in its beta phase, is available to select regions all over the world. It is playable on iOS and Android devices.
