“Lucifer” Season 5 will be the last time the fans will get to see Tom Ellis reprise his role as everyone’s favorite Devil. The team has been working hard to end the show with a bang, and executive producer Ildy Modrovich recently shared some updates with the fans online.

While Season 5 has been announced to be the last, the fans are gathering once again to see if they can get the show to go on for just one more season. When a fan asked Modrovich about it on Twitter recently, the producer first apologized for being quite on the issue for such a long time, and added that she is “torn” about it.

Modrovich feels that he could work on “Lucifer” TV series “forever.” However, she said that she is “immensely grateful” for the fans and for Netflix for giving her and her team a chance to continue the show after it was previously cancelled.

In order to make the ending special, Modrovich said that “Lucifer” Season 5 is going to be a “love letter” to the fans. It remains to be seen how the producers and the cast are planning to show their gratitude to the immensely loyal fan base of the TV series.

The pre-production work of the show appears to be complete, and the team appears to have the scripts or at least a plan for the next season ready. Modrovich announced that there will be 10 episodes on the show, and she added that they are going to make sure that every minute counts.

In another comment on Twitter, Modrovich said that she and the other producers have never seen the kind of fan interaction that they have with “Lucifer” TV series fans. She said that such enthusiasm is “brand new” for them, and that is why they “cherish” the show so much.

The producers are yet to announce an exact release date for “Lucifer” Season 5. The show is expected to premiere sometime in 2020.
