Meghan Markle is reportedly planning to meet her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., secretly when she flies to the United States this month.

Geraldine McKelvie, a journalist for Mirror, claimed that a source informed him of Markle’s plan to reunite with her dad during her trip. His source specifically claimed that Markle is freeing up two days from her schedule so she could be with her father.

However, it is still unclear whether or not this meeting will actually take place. A source told US Weekly last month that Markle will meet her family and friends when she goes to her hometown in the summer. The places she will visit include New York, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. There was no mention of Markle meeting her dad at that time.

In related news, Thomas has been conducting interviews about his daughter and the royal family. He recently claimed that he has been cut off from Markle’s life completely. He also slammed the royal family for allegedly keeping Markle away from him.

Amid the father and daughter’s ongoing feud, multiple sources claimed that it is highly unlikely for Markle to reconcile with her dad anytime soon. Rebecca Perring, a journalist for Express, was informed by her source that there is no chance for the two to reconcile.

“A reconciliation is completely off the table at the moment. There’s no chance right now – he’s been a complete embarrassment. They’ve had problems for some time – from before she met Prince Harry,” the source said.

A second insider added that Markle is not greatly affected by the issues involving her dad’s side of the family.

“She’s amazed by what’s happened but is taking what he says with a grain of salt. The royal family isn’t as upset as you’d think either. Nothing any of the Markle family say has any real consequence and Meghan and Harry have more important things to focus on,” the source said.
