With the new year comes new challenges for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The royal couple, who are nearing the end of their six-week break, will return to their royal duties soon, and it's sparked a conversation on how they will handle it. According to Jennie Bond, a royal commentator, it will be "tricky."

"They’ve spent the last six weeks, we believe, mostly in Canada," Bond told ITV's Lorraine per Express. "We don’t know where they’ve been but they wanted this sabbatical, if you like."

"I think again, it may be tricky in this coming year, we’ve got to see whether or not they can hack it. Can they take the public scrutiny, the public role that is theirs? They’ve both spoken about their fragile state," she continued. "Harry very openly about his mental problems. So they are coming back to full time work. I hope they can manage it."

"They had a good Christmas by all accounts," Bond added.

Before the New Year, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Meghan and Harry, along with their 7-month-old son Archie Harrison, have been in the North American country.

"As has been reported, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are spending private family time in Canada," the statement began. "The decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both."

A spokesperson added, "The Duke of Sussex has been a frequent visitor to Canada over many years, and it was also home to The Duchess for seven years before she became a member of the Royal Family. They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son."

As for what's next for the Sussex's, we will have to wait and see.
