  • Melania Trump shared the current renovations being made at the White House
  • The FLOTUS is accused of wasting the taxpayers' money
  • Melania Trump was lambasted again because of her recent tweet

Melania Trump has been very active in her campaigns and advocacies, which mostly center on the general well-being of the children and youth. In fact, her “Be Best” initiative focuses on three main pillars, namely: well-being, online safety, and opioid abuse. Despite her efforts to curbing some of the major societal issues the younger generation is facing today, Melania is still mocked and criticized simply by being the better half of President Donald Trump.

Recently, the First Lady of the United States shared about the renovation being done in the White House. Melania took to social media to share the latest update about the said restoration project. She shared a short clip on Twitter, which showed the workers and the most-recent developments.

“We were honored to complete the East Room floor restoration along with the wall upholstery in the Red & Blue Rooms in 2019,” Melania Trump said in her tweet. “The work continues in 2020 to display the People’s House as a reflection of the excellence of the nation’s craftsmen and a source of pride for its citizens,” she went on.

Melania’s devoted followers were quick to praise the FLOTUS and the current administration. “Thank you for the #BeBest loving care you are taking of the People's House. Well done to the White House Historical Society and all the White House staff. Truly honoring our Founders,” one Twitter user responded on Melania’s tweet. “We are honored to have you leading the restoration of the People’s House. The work so far has been absolutely breathtaking. Thank you @FLOTUS for being the most wonderful First Lady we’ve ever had. Your beauty, grace, style, and heart epitomize the position,” another netizen shared.

While avid supporters of Melania were pleased to learn about the progress, her critics took the opportunity to lambast her, including the POTUS. “Tell your husband to #BeBest and stop getting us into a war with Iran,” Kristina Wong said. “Make sure you pay them as your husband tends not to,” Paul Krenek wrote in the comment section. "Spending tax payers money for no good reason! There are so many things this money could go to like Feeding starving children in schools. You remember the Children don't you?" Kathy Gordin said. “Your husband just had a man assassinated, Melania. Not sure if you heard over the fluttering of canvases,” a third netizen stated.

“Wow....your writing in English is so much better than the way you speak it. HUH! It's as if someone else wrote it for you. Almost like when you plagiarized @MichelleObama's speech!” a sixth Twitter user said. “Priorities. Your husband started a war. #BeBest and don't gloat about things that are not important. It is disturbing enough that Trump assassinated someone who his family was money laundering for,” another netizen commented. “We can't afford to take care of our veterans, our senior citizens or feed hungry children but there always seems to be plenty of money to redecorate rooms and pay the secret service for all the golf trips. Really mel, your family is despicable,” an eighth user added. Melania Trump has yet to comment on these harsh remarks.

In Dec. 2019, Melania drew flak when she unveiled the White House’s Christmas décor. With “The Spirit of America” theme, the FLOTUS decorated the first family’s official residence with “Be Best” ornaments. “'The Spirit of America' is shining in the @WhiteHouse! I am delighted to share this beautiful exhibit of patriotism for all to see, and excited for everyone to experience the beauty of the #Christmas season!” Melania, previously, wrote on Twitter.

As per usual, most of her supporters appreciated her efforts in decorating the White House. However, Melania Trump’s faultfinders accused her of wasting the taxpayers’ money instead of using it to other more valuable and important things.
