A new biography that delves into the life of Melania Trump has portrayed the first lady of the U.S. as someone easy to live with.

Mary Jordan’s new book “The Art of Her Deal”, which has been dismissed as fiction by the White House, has interviews from Melania’s roommates from her modelling days, and they have all termed the first lady as a quiet person.

Victoria Silvstedt, a model from Sweden, confirmed that Melania was an easy person to live with as “she was always very quiet.”

These sentiments were echoed by fashion photographer Matthew Atanian, who shared a small and cramped New York apartment with Melania during her modelling days.

Atanian said that space constraint was not an issue for Melania as she “never brought anyone home.” She was also not much into partying.

According to the book, President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka used to call her 50-year-old step-mother as “The Portrait” because of how rarely she spoke.

The book also hints that in Melania, Trump may have found a perfect roommate. Although they spend time together, the couple do not interact much, said a former housekeeper the author interviewed.

”I never saw them like a normal family, sitting together at a table, eating together, talking,” Victorina Morales observed. “Never, never, never. They spend time in the same place, but they don’t interact.”

Trump and Melania have been married since 2005, but they have managed to stay together despite their different preferences. Pointing out one such difference, Jordan wrote, “No matter which of his properties he is visiting, Trump sleeps in a separate bedroom that has been decorated to his taste—he favors darker colored walls and rugs, while Melania likes whites and light colors.”

Their successful union, according to Trump, is because Melania does not attempt to cross or top him. “At this moment, she’s really only interested in what’s good for me,” he said shortly before their marriage. “And I say that with the greatest respect. She’s really far more interested in me than she is in herself.”

Jordan is a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer for The Washington Post and has used more than 100 interviews for the book on Melania. However, the White House has called Jordan’s book a work of fiction.

"Yet another book about Mrs. Trump with false information and sources. This book belongs in the fiction genre,” said Melania’s spokesperson and chief of staff Stephanie Grisham.
