When viewers tuned in to the “My 600-LB Life” Season 10 premiere on Wednesday night, they met Nathan Prater. At the time of his debut on the TLC series, Nathan weighed 607 pounds.

However, according to a recent Facebook update, it appears Nathan is continuing his weight loss journey.

During his episode, Nathan, 36, struggled with his rising weight, which began to affect his ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.

He eventually decided to take action when his weight began to affect his job as a drama teacher, but his journey to a healthier lifestyle took a toll on his marriage.

Nathan was accompanied by his wife Amber, 40, to his meeting with Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, who is known as Dr. Now on the TLC series. During the consultation, Dr. Now noted that Amber was also overweight at 502 pounds.

“My concern right now is seeing both of you here, and your wife has a weight problem too,” Dr. Now said during the episode.

“It’s very hard for one person in the family to eat healthy while the other person is not.”

When Dr. Now asked if Amber was interested in entering the weight loss program so she could also receive gastric bypass surgery, she revealed she underwent the procedure when she was 16 years old.

After some reluctance, she eventually agreed and joined Nathan in his weight loss journey. Nathan was relatively successful in losing weight to receive the life-changing surgery.

However, Amber struggled and gained weight during the process, which she blamed on her husband because she was tasked with caring for him.

After Nathan received the gastric bypass surgery, he began to struggle to follow dietary restrictions set by Dr. Now. Meanwhile, Amber managed to lose weight and receive the surgery.

Since the episode of “My 600-LB Life” wrapped, it appears Nathan has remained committed to embracing a healthy lifestyle.

On Oct. 23, Amber tagged Nathan in a Facebook post about a fun outing, but the photo and caption gave a major update.

In the photo, Nathan appeared to be sporting a slimmer frame as he spoke with a group of people.

“It has been an eventful Saturday from Nathan Prater walking his heart out at the Hot Pepper Festival to our great nephew’s birthday party and wrapped it all up with a trip to Sam’s Club and Aldi,” Amber captioned the photo.

Meanwhile, Amber hasn’t shared updates about her progress on social media. The last photo she shared was a selfie in July.

“My 600-LB Life” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.
