Will Regina (Lana Parrilla) get her happily-ever-after on “Once Upon a Time”? While things were looking good for the evil queen, the Season 3 finale threw in another twist for everyone’s favorite villain – the arrival of Robin Hood’s (Sean Maguire) former dead wife, Marian (Christie Laing).

For those playing catch up on the hit ABC fairytale drama, Robin Hood’s wife died in the Enchanted Forest shortly after the birth of their son. However the show was able to revive her due to Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Hook’s (Colin O'Donoghue) time-travel journey to the Enchanted Forest of the past.

In the Season 3 finale, Emma and Hook were trying to return to Storybrooke without changing anything in the past. But that proved to be difficult after they accidentally interrupted Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming’s (Josh Dallas) meeting. In another series of unfortunate events, Emma got locked up in the Evil Queen’s dungeon – where she ran into a mysterious woman. Not wanting to leave the woman behind, Emma took her with her when she escaped. Afraid to change the past anymore, Emma and Hook decided to bring the woman with them when they opened the portal back to Storybrooke. It wasn’t until they returned that they figured out that the woman they brought back was none other than Robin Hood’s wife, Marian.

While it would seemingly be a happy reunion Robin Hood’s family, Regina’s presence – and the fact that Robin Hood is her “true love” – definitely complicates things all around. As we previously reported, Season 4 will explore what Marian’s arrival means for Regina’s relationship with Robin Hood. If their true love can’t conquer Marian’s return, then Regina may resort to her “old, evil ways.” But what’s worse is that she’ll “do everything in her power to get even” with Emma.
