Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are now parents to a healthy baby girl, but it appears fans are more excited about a potential Zouis reunion after Louis Tomlinson liked a photo of the couple’s baby announcement.

On Wednesday night, Zayn shared a photo of himself holding his daughter’s tiny hand. “Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful,” he wrote in the caption of the photo.

“To try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together.”

While fans and friends sent well wishes to the “Pillowtalk” singer, “Zouis” began trending on Twitter the following day after fans noticed that Tomlinson liked the photo of Malik and his daughter.

The gesture sent fans to the social media platform where they reminisced about the singers’ friendship and hoped for a reunion

“Zouis” is the ship name given to Tomlinson and Malik by fans who enjoyed the close relationship the two appeared to have while they were in One Direction.

“Louis liked Zayn’s Instagram post. I’m having a zouis breakdown,” one fan wrote.

Another person added, “I’m going to cry in my bed, leave me alone cause i have to realize that, i have literally no words #ZOUIS.”

Meanwhile, one fan noted that the potential Zouis reunion has happened a day before Malik is expected to release his new single “Better.”

“September 24th 2021 will be a freaking special day ‘cause we are having the anniversary of PILLOWTALK 1B, ZIGI’S ANGEL AND ZOUIS. And yes September 25th with #BETTER MV too,” the 1D fan wrote.

After Malik left One Direction in 2015, his friendships with his former group mates quickly fell apart. However, five years later, it appears fans are feeling nostalgic about Malik and Tomlinson’s past friendship. It is unclear whether the two have actually reconnected.
