Sam Heughan seems to be having a good hiatus. The “Outlander” star wrapped filming on Season 3 of the Starz drama last month, and he is already working on a movie. He is currently filming “The Spy Who Dumped Me,” and he seems to be getting along with his cast, which includes Kate McKinnon and Mila Kunis.

During a Twitter question and answer session, a fan asked Heughan what it is like to work alongside McKinnon. “She’s SO cool and funny! What a pro,” he replied.

According to Deadline, “The Spy Who Dumped Me” follows the “Saturday Night Live” actress and Kunis as two best friends. They suddenly find themselves in an international conspiracy when an ex-boyfriend, played by Heughan, turns out to be a spy. Susanna Fogel will direct and co-wrote the script with David Iserson.

The Scottish actor revealed that he’ll have a different accent in the film as well. He noted that he’ll be speaking in a Hungarian brogue for the project.

The 37-year-old didn’t want to give away too much about the movie, though. When asked if he was doing stunts, Heughan didn’t answer directly, but he seemed to hint that there would be some action scenes. “It’s an ‘action comedy!!!’ [sic] I love stunts…” he wrote.

Heughan added that he did receive a few bruises while on set. “Nothing major.... Risky business though!”

Fans will have to wait until the flick hits theaters on July 6, 2018 to see exactly how much stunt work is involved in “The Spy Who Dumped Me.”

Heughan’s Q&A session wasn’t to promote his new movie, however. It was to celebrate the anniversary of him being cast as Jamie Fraser in “Outlander.” “I was over joyed and didn’t realise what a wonderful adventure it'd be. So so lucky,” he wrote of that fateful day.

The actor couldn’t let too many spoilers about “Outlander” Season 3 slip, but fans who read Diana Gabaldon’s “Voyager” already know what’s coming. The season will kick off with Jamie and Claire still separated by couple centuries, and audiences will see what happened in the 20 years they spent apart. Eventually, however, Claire will make her way back to the 18th century. When Jamie and Claire reunite, they’ll head off to Jamaica.

Jamie and Claire will spend several weeks on a boat, and Jamie will get quite seasick. Heughan revealed that while he has a stronger stomach than his character, the fake vomit certainly wasn’t appealing. “Afraid not,” he told a fan who asked if he actually got seasick while filming Season 3. “But pretending to throw up raw eggs quite a few times can set someone off!”

As previously reported, Diana Gabaldon revealed that he hated filming the seasickness scenes. “He was standing there with a page of script in his hand looking more than disheveled, and he said to me he thought he really was going to be sick,” Gabaldon revealed to the Scottish Sun. “Sam said, ‘They’ve given me egg whites tinted green with the most disgusting vanilla essence in it. And I have to hold it in my mouth until it’s time to throw up.’”

At least Heughan’s suffering will make for some believable seasickness scenes. Fans still have to wait a while to see the footage for themselves. “Outlander” Season 3 will not premiere on Starz until September. The cast is visiting San Diego Comic-Con later this month, however, and the event might give Sassenachs a new trailer or possibly an exact release date.
