With the Easter holiday following close behind the beginning of spring, Pepsi and Peeps came together to celebrate the arrival of both by giving away free soda.

On Thursday, the brands announced the launch of the Pepsi x Peeps soda. The beverage mashup will feature the familiar taste of the iconic soft drink with a springtime twist of the distinct Peeps marshmallow flavor.

To celebrate the new season, the brands are giving fans the opportunity to win a three-pack of the new flavor, which will be stored inside a Peeps-inspired design of 7.5-ounce Pepsi mini-cans.

The colors of the cans will include bright yellow, blue and pink. Along with the mini packs, 10 grand prize winners will receive a collector’s package of the Pepsi x Peeps collaboration.

Starting Thursday, the #HangingWithMyPEEPS national sweepstakes will begin by requiring fans to share photos to Twitter and Instagram of themselves socially distancing while enjoying their favorite springtime activities.

Fans will need to make sure they feature the Peeps Marshmallow Chicks and Bunnies in their photos, tag @PEPSI, and use the hashtags #HangingWithMyPEEPS and #PepsiSweepstakes on the social media platforms.

Fans may only enter a total of two times, such as one post on Twitter and one entry on Instagram. There is also a mail-in entry option. However, the letter must be postmarked by March 31 and has to be received by April 6.

“The Peeps Brand always finds great joy in teaming up with partners to bring our beloved Marshmallow flavor to fans in new and exciting ways, which is why we’re thrilled to collaborate with Pepsi on this limited-edition Pepsi x Peeps beverage leading up to the Easter holiday,” Caitlin Serviansi, Peeps brand manager, said in a press release.

“We look forward to seeing how fans express their PEEPSONALITY as part of the #HangingWithMyPEEPS sweepstakes and hope they enjoy this sweet new cola offering.”

Social media entries have until March 31 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET to share their photos.
