Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son, Prince George, brought millions to Britain.

The country celebrated when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their firstborn. However, aside from bringing joy, Prince George reportedly brought wealth to Britain.

In Netflix’s documentary “The Royals,” it was revealed that Prince George’s birth boosted the UK economy by an estimate of $300 million. According to royal commentator Camilla Tominey, this could be due to the huge interest in the new addition to the royal family.

“We only have to look at the scenes outside Buckingham Palace on the night of George’s birth to see that there is a huge interest in it,” Tominey explained.

Tominey added that Prince George has the “magical essence of royalty” that people want to buy whatever he wears. Actually, Prince William and Middleton’s other children have the same influence. In fact, Princess Charlotte’s worth $1.4 billion more than her big brother.

Princess Charlotte is worth $5 billion while the third-in-line to the throne is worth $3.6 billion. Princess Charlotte’s effect started when she was photographed with a pastel yellow John Lewis cardigan on her second birthday. The said item sparked the biggest percentage increase in searches for an item and was sold out within 24 hours.

Olivier Baby & Kids experienced Charlotte’s effect when Prince William and Middleton’s daughter was photographed wearing their Rose Stitch Cardigan in her official first birthday photos. According to Emma Davison, they experienced a significant increase in international orders and Princess Charlotte’s cardigan remains their best-selling cardigan.

David Haigh, a brand finance CEO noticed how Middletons’ children inherit her power to influence buyers.

"The royal children have a positive impact on the sales of particular clothes and toys brands they wear or play with. They have a very similar effect on brands as their mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, who has a real Midas touch — everything she touches turns into gold," Haigh explained.

Middleton has her own dedicated fans who follow her fashion. They call themselves RepliKate. Janelle Nash from Arizona has been running a social media page dedicated to replicating Middleton’s outfits and has over 33 thousand followers on Instagram.
