  • Prince Harry and William are reportedly taking steps to heal their rift
  • The Duke of Sussex is said to be in constant contact with the Queen
  • Prince Harry earlier accused his father of passing on his 'pain and suffering'

Prince Harry is expected to reunite with his brother, Prince William, at an upcoming tribute event for Princess Diana. On Tuesday, it was reported that the husband of Meghan Markle would "absolutely" attend the unveiling of his mom's statue.

Most, if not all, followers of the royal brothers know that their relationship has been strained since the infamous Megxit. Months after being separated due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Harry and William are due to reunite for the inauguration of Princess Diana's statue on July 1 at the Kensington Palace.

The unveiling falls on the same day that would have been the 60th birthday of the late "People's Princess." An unnamed palace source told Page Six that no one in the royal family would tell Prince Harry not to come even after he accused his father of passing on his "pain and suffering."

During an interview with Dax Shepard on his "Armchair Expert" podcast, Harry claimed that Prince Charles had handed down a "cycle" of genetic agony and distress to him. This, according to the prince, had led him and Markle to move to California last year.

In the last few months, there have been claims that Harry and William's relationship is improving. "Things are a lot better between William and Harry. If you go back a year at that stage, these brothers were barely on talking terms," royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight.

Nicholl also said Prince Harry has been in contact with Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth II as well. Despite that, the royal expert noted that it is quite impossible for the royal brothers to be as close as they were before.

However, a separate source told Page Six that the relationship remains complicated. "Things between Harry and William have been terrible since Megxit, then Harry and Meghan [Markle] gave that nuclear Oprah [Winfrey] interview, and now Harry has spoken out again. It's just one thing after the other," the informant close to the royal family claimed.

Prince Harry has yet to comment on these reports.
