Prince William and Prince Harry have a lot of hurt and unresolved issues between them, according to a source.

For months, rumors circulated that the Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex were feuding with each other. Prince Harry, who used to be a third wheel to Prince William and Kate Middleton, was rarely seen with the future king and queen after he married Meghan Markle.

In an emotional interview, Prince Harry did not deny that he no longer spends as much time with his older brother as he did in the past. Markle’s husband said that he and Prince William are on different paths. But according to an insider, their falling-out could be due to a deeper reason.

“There is a lot of hurt and a lot of unresolved issues between the boys,” the source told People.

To make matters worse, there is no one to mediate between the royal siblings. “Petty grievances can become huge conflicts between all the different royal offices if they aren’t managed correctly, and that’s exactly what’s happening now,” the insider continued.

Prince William and Prince Harry were very close following their mom Princess Diana’s death as they were forced to face the tragedy together. Royal historian Robert Lacey believes that another factor of the distance between Prince William and Prince Harry is the fact that they are both moving into adulthood.

“But it’s inevitable, as they grow up and develop different personalities, that synchronicity won’t apply anymore,” Lacey explained.

A royal source also supported Lacey’s statement. The insider said that when one of the siblings get married, there will always be a period of readjustment. When Prince Harry tied the knot with Markle his priorities and focus changed.

In related news, Middleton is reportedly playing peacemaker to end the rift between the Cambridges and Sussexes. An insider said that Middleton urged her husband to forgive Prince Harry and warned him that if he doesn’t do it, the feud would fester into a wound that might never be healed and he might regret it all his life.
