Princess Diana reportedly believed that one doomed royal couple was actually a perfect match for each other.

In the book “Meghan: A Hollywood Princess,” royal author Andrew Morton said that the late Princess of Wales had a soft spot for Prince Andrew’s American girlfriend, Kathleen “Koo” Stark.

The mom of two described Stark as sweet and gentle, and she also believed that she was suited for Prince Charles’ younger brother. However, a film that Stark starred in years ago sabotaged her relationship with the royal.

“Emily” was a film directed by the Earl of Pembroke. Following its release, provocative photos of Stark circulated in the press. The stigma of the movie also poisoned Stark’s relationship with Prince Andrew so their love affair became doomed.

During Princess Diana’s interview with Morton, she said that Stark adored Prince Andrew. Prince William and Prince Harry’s mom also said that Stark was terribly good to have around.

“Very gentle and looked after him. All her energies were directed towards him… They suited each other so well,” Princess Diana gushed.

According to Morton, Prince Andrew and Stark went on a holiday on the Caribbean island of Mustique in 1982. They stayed at Princess Margaret’s property, and they reportedly flew to the island under the alias Mr. and Mrs. Cambridge.

But shortly after their trip, Prince Andrew and Stark ended their relationship. The Duke of York ended up marrying Sarah Ferguson in 1986. The couple was blessed with two daughters together, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Unfortunately, their marriage was also short-lived.

In 1992, Ferguson and Prince Andrew announced their separation. Four years later, their divorce was finalized. But even after their divorce, the couple has maintained an amicable relationship with each other. Rumors claim that they are living together at the Royal Lodge.

Prince Andrew and Ferguson also raised their two daughters together even though they are no longer officially married. They were also present at Princess Eugenie’s nuptials.
