KEY POINTS

  • Pumpkin Shannon posted a new video on TikTok featuring Honey Boo Boo
  • The sisters seemingly threw some major shade at Mama June in the clip
  • Fans showered Pumpkin with compliments for taking her of her sister

Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon and Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson appeared to have taken a swipe at none other than their mom, Mama June Shannon, in a new social media update.

Pumpkin, 22, uploaded a video to her TikTok account earlier this week that got many people talking. In the clip, she and her younger sister Honey Boo Boo did not hold back in expressing their feelings about their mom.

The video starts with Alana dancing in front of the camera as the text "sister who needed a momma" is flashed. The 17-year-old then turns the camera to Pumpkin, who performs the same dance move as the text "the sister that came in clutch and raised her" appears above her.

In the caption, Pumpkin wrote, "If you mad keep scrolling. Cause yep it's about you," which seemingly targeted their 43-year-old mother, who abandoned them in 2019 to be with her ex-lover, Geno Doak.

Many fans showered the post with compliments for Pumpkin, who stepped up for their family when Mama June was nowhere to be found. Several also couldn't help but notice the shade the sisters threw at their mom.

"The caption," one wrote with laughing emoji. Another added, "The shadeeee," along with crying face and fire emojis.

"Pumpkin, you are one of the strongest women I know. Thank God for you," a different user commented.

"Best sister ever!! You're an amazing woman!! Beyond proud of both of you," another fan stated.

In June, Pumpkin was given full custody of Alana after a messy legal battle with Mama June. The court also ordered the Shannon matriarch to pay $800 per month in child support until Alana turns 18.

The decision to award Pumpkin full custody of her sister came after Mama June struggled with addiction and even got arrested on drug-related charges with Doak three years ago. On their family's reality show, "Mama June" Road to Redemption," Mama June's road to sobriety was featured. She has also since married tattoo artist Justin Stroud after breaking up with Geno, according to People.

In August, Mama June revealed that she was eager to fix her broken relationship with her youngest daughter, Alana. In a lengthy text message obtained by TMZ, the controversial mom assured Honey Boo Boo that she would always be there for her "whenever [you] need me."

Meanwhile, Mama June recently made headlines after showing off her makeover to her fans on Instagram. Last week, she did a photoshoot in El Paso, Texas, and she proudly showcased some of her photos on the social media platform.

Her post received mixed responses from her fans. Many found her unrecognizable in the photos and credited "makeup and filters" for making her look good. Others hoped Mama June was doing well and feeling better after the speculation that she previously had a botched Botox.
