Punxsutawney Phil is widely regarded as one of the most accurate groundhogs used for Groundhog Day, and the Pennsylvania native's 2012 prediction for six more weeks of winter already has Americans hunkering down for the coming cold.

But Punxsutawney Phil isn't the only creature famous for predicting the weather, and groundhogs aren't the only ones whose guesses turn out to be true.
