No introduction was needed for Sir Paul McCartney, Rihanna and Kanye West when they stepped on the stage as a trio. Rihanna ditched her cotton candy-colored dress for a sleek black suit when she performed “Four Five Seconds” with McCartney and West at the 2015 Grammys at the Staples Center in Los Angeles Sunday night.

Their performance got nearly everyone in the auditorium on their feet. Even West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, who didn’t stand for any other performance, was on her feet, clapping and singing.

“Four Five Second,” a tune different than much of the music West and Rihanna usually put out, was released Tuesday. It has more than 17.5 million views on YouTube, which will only probably climb after Sunday’s live Grammy performance.

“Yes Rihanna” soon began to trend on Twitter. Many praised her for her vocals that sometimes get muffled in her upbeat songs.

McCartney’s microphone didn’t appear to be working, but he continued to play his guitar. The crowd didn’t seem to mind and applauded the former Beatle anyway.

Their three-way collaboration came after a country set by Eric Church and Brandy Clark. It’s a move that seemed to heighten “Four Five Seconds.”
