One photographer got fed up with Camilla Parker Bowles when she replaced Princess Diana in Prince Charles' life.

The crowd fell in love with the late Princess of Wales. In fact, Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding was like a fairytale. However, sources close to them said that they had an “unhappy” marriage because he always had Camilla in his heart.

According to royal expert Anthony Holden, several journalists and photographers struggled when Prince Charles introduced Camilla to the public as his new love. Royal photographer Kent Gavin was among them because he was “emotionally involved” with Princess Diana.

"I think when Camilla replaced Diana in Charles’s life many of the photographers, like many of the writers, had their own personal views,” Holden said in the Amazon Prime documentary “Royalty Close Up: The Photography of Kent Gavin.

“I think Gavin had been quite emotionally involved with Diana and was probably quite fed up about this. But presumably he also wanted Charles, who he admires, to be happy. But you really have to keep your personal feelings out of the way, and your emotions, and just get on with the job. And it’s a good story!”

Gavin didn’t hide his struggles when it came to Prince Charles and Camilla. In fact, he admitted in the program that there was conflict inside him when he was asked to photograph the Prince of Wales and Camilla’s wedding.

“I got emotionally moved, in fact, when I was asked by the editor to go and photograph the wedding of Charles and Camilla. My thoughts at that time were thinking how sad it is – and was – that that marriage went wrong. But you couldn’t help but think, you know, I still like the Prince of Wales, he’s a brilliant man,” said Gavin.

Gavin said that he understood that Prince Charles loved Camilla and it was obvious. Gavin believed that Prince Charles also felt the same when he was with Prince Harry and Prince William’s mother, which was the sad part. He decided to just let the heir apparent “get on with his life.”

Meanwhile, Prince Charles and Prince William had a sweet moment during a joint engagement. The Prince of Wales was caught on camera pushing the wheelchair where the Duke of Cambridge was seated close to the basketball ring, so Kate Middleton’s husband could score a basket.

According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, Prince Harry’s absence brought Prince Charles and Prince William closer. Now that the Duke of Sussex is away, the future king could focus on his eldest son.
