With several months to go before the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” the production has been plagued by various leaks and spoilers from eager fans around the Web. With supposed plot spoilers revealing what may or may not happen in the seventh installment of the popular franchise, the latest news is all about the future of Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher).

First of all, it’s important to note up top that the following information comes from the site MakingStarWars.net. While not officially affiliated with the production, it is regularly churning out spoiler information that allegedly comes from insiders on J.J. Abrams’ set. While the director hasn’t acknowledged the site directly, he recently revealed that some of the spoilers coming out are in fact true. However, it still means that everything that comes from the site has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Having said that, the site is now alleging that it has the inside scoop on Fisher’s character in “The Force Awakens.” Previously it has reported on the future for the two of the three returning cast members from George Lucas’ original trilogy including the fate of Han Solo and what old Luke Skywalker will be like. However, precious little information has been known about Leia until now.

The site claims that the princess has officially been upgraded to a queen. When we find her, she’s still commanding the Rebel Alliance against the Empire, making her the kind of the go-to figure that the new, younger characters will turn to when they’re in over their heads – which happens almost immediately.

As for her romantic life, the site isn’t sure whether or not she and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) are still together. Some of their reports indicate that the two are about to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary and others seem to hint that they haven’t spoken to one another in several years. In any case, what’s really got her character preoccupied is the existence of a catastrophic weapon wielded by the Empire known only as the “Catapult.” According to the site, midway through the movie, Leia will reveal that she’s been sitting on a top-secret weapon of her own called the “Sledgehammer,” which she uses to combat the Empire.

The site also claims to know how Fisher's character will react to a larger plot spoiler that was previously reported on. If that wasn't enough of a spoiler for you, they have also posted concept art that depicts what her character will look like decades after fans last saw her in “Return of the Jedi.”

Head on over to MakingStarWars.net to get a better look at what might be in store for Fisher’s character. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” hits theaters Dec. 18, 2015.
