Star Wars
Here’s how to binge-watch all the “Star Wars” films online on May 4. Disney/LucasFilm

Thursday is “Star Wars” day and what better way to celebrate than by re-watching the entire series?

The franchise has grown significantly over the years and continues to do so, accumulating more and more fans along the way. While the “Star Wars” films are popular with people of all ages in countries across the globe, finding the films online is no easy feat. In fact, following Disney/Lucas Film’s acquisition of the franchise in 2012, it’s nearly impossibly — nearly being the operative word here.

“Star Wars” fans on a quest to find high quality streams and downloads will have to rent or buy the movies. All the films — from 1977’s “Star Wars” to 2016’s “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” — are available on Amazon Video, iTunes and in the Google Play store. Amazon and iTunes are selling the “Star Wars” films to own for $19.99, while Google Play prices vary between $14.99 and $19.99.

Looking to purchase the entire series (excluding “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”)? Each service offers package deals allowing fans to own all six films for $79.99.

If you’re not into commitment, but still want to watch the “Star Wars” films on Thursday, head over to YouTube. The entire series, as well as “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” is available for purchase through the video streaming website. Prices vary — some of the films can be purchased for as low as $4.99, while others will run you between $14.99 and $19.99.

Don’t let the Jedi-in-training in your family miss out on the fun. Head over to Netflix and check out their selection of “Star Wars” movies perfect for young padawans with short attention spans. While the streaming giant doesn’t have any of the actual “Star Wars” films in their collection, they have both a six-season TV series and a movie titled “The Clone Wars.”

Hopefully your “Star Wars” binge will fill your death star-sized void while you wait for the release of “The Last Jedi.” Disney/Lucas Film released a trailer for the film on April 14. The clips tease a major battle to come as a mystery figure shrouded in darkness calls for the erasure of the Jedi’s.

The trailer appears to pick up right where “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” left off. Rey (Daisey Ridley) is shown trying to get her bearings in a place that appears unfamiliar to her. While she surveys the land a voice believed to belong to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) urges her to tap into her senses, taking in what she sees.

Viewers also get to catch up with Finn (John Boyega), Po (Oscar Isaac) and the rest of the gang. The trailer shows Finn unconscious inside a pod taking him to an undisclosed destination while Po has problems of his own. The rebel fighters X-Wing is, once again, blown to bits.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” hits theaters Dec. 15. “Episode IX” will follow on May 24, 2019.
