‘Stitchers’
Will Kirsten (Emma Ishta) survive the stitch in “Stitchers” Season 3? Freeform

“Stitchers” Season 3 will premiere on Freeform soon, but details about the upcoming episodes are still being kept under wraps.

Just recently, TV Line writer Michael Ausiello confirmed that the series will release its first episode on June 5 at 9 p.m. EST. Other than the show’s premiere date, only one casting news from the series has been unveiled. According to Deadline, YouTube star Anna Akana has been cast in a recurring role.

Akana will play the role of a woman named Amanda. She is described as a cool and confident medical examiner who will be working with the Stitchers team. She will also have an instant connection with Camille (Allison Scagliotti), but it is unclear if their connection will be a romantic one. Akana’s character will first appear in Season 3, episode 2 on June 12.

The YouTube star has a huge following on the site, with approximately 1.8 million subscribers. She is also the brainchild behind “Miss 2059,” Verizon’s go90 streaming service. The show has been renewed for a second season. Akana will also appear in Comedy Central’s new TV series, “Hampton DeVille,” in a supporting role.

Meanwhile, “Stitchers” Season 3 is expected to address the major cliffhangers from Season 2. In last season’s finale, Kirsten (Emma Ishta) discovered a shocking family secret. In order to find out what really happened to her loved ones, Kirsten decided to stitch herself into the past. Kirsten’s love interest, Cameron (Kyle Harris), wasn’t supportive of Kirsten’s desire to return to her family’s past, but the latter was unstoppable. In the end, Kirsten laid lifeless on the stitch table, and Cameron desperately tried to wake her up.
