U.S. stocks fell on Thursday after shares of major banks, including JPMorgan Chase & Co , and those of natural resource companies sold off as investors reassessed a push that drove Wall Street to fresh 15-month highs earlier this week.

* The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 134.07 points, or 1.26 percent, at 10,469.08. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was down 12.85 points, or 1.13 percent, at 1,125.19. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was down 19.21 points, or 0.84 percent, at 2,272.04.
