Alex isn’t welcoming Mon-El with open arms in the next episode of “Supergirl.”

In a recent interview with TVLine, series star Chyler Leigh said that Mon-El’s (Chris Wood) return in Season 3, episode 7 is shrouded with mystery. So even though the Mon-El is her sister’s lover, the DEO agent is not letting her guard down.

“There’s a skepticism [on Alex’s part],” Chyler Leigh said. “You figure out and understand what happened with Mon-El and the time that’s passed and what that looks like. It’s not an easy pill to swallow no matter what, and Alex is always going to be protective of her sister Kara (Melissa Benoist).”

Apparently, Mon-El isn’t the only concern Alex has. As previously revealed, Mon-El does not return to Earth alone. Instead, the Prince of Daxamite arrives in National City with the Legion of Super-Heroes. “With the Legion coming in, it’s like you never have a down moment or a dull moment,” Leigh said. “It’s like you’ve got to deal with these things, and argh, everything comes in, and it all just falls down at once. There’s not a lot of time for dwelling.”

In the comics, Legion member Superboy put Mon-El in the Phantom Zone when he was fatally poisoned by lead. Mon-El stayed there until another Legion member, Brainiac 5, discovered a cure in the 30th Century, and this led Mon-El to become a member of the Legion.

Earlier this month, it was announced that “No Tomorrow” alum Jesse Rath was cast in the recurring role of Brainiac 5. And last September, it was revealed that Bollywood star Amy Jackson was tapped to play Saturn Girl, a founding member of the Legion of Super-Heroes.

Jackson is set to make her debut as Saturn Girl in Season 3, episode 7, while Rath’s Brainiac 5 will first appear in Season 3, episode 10, titled “Legion of Super-Heroes.” “Episode 10 is called ‘Legion of Super-Heroes,’ and you can’t call it that without having the Legion of Super-Heroes in it,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told TVLine. “We’ve hinted at the Legion going back to Season 1, when we saw the Legion ring in the Fortress of Solitude, so the Legion will have a presence.”

“Supergirl” Season 3, episode 7, titled “Wake Up” airs on Monday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
