Teen Gets ‘Too Excited’ Upon Seeing Relatives, Falls Into Coma Hours After Waking Up From One

A 19-year-old boy fell into coma hours after he woke up from one after he got "too excited" seeing his family members at the hospital. The incident took place in Taiwan last week, local media reported Monday.
The unidentified teen was rushed to a hospital last week after the blood vessels in his brain ruptured. Fortunately, a day after being hospitalized, the boy recovered from the coma. The boy’s family members rushed to visit him at the hospital after hearing the good news.
Speaking to local media, the doctor who treated the boy said that though he usually allows a maximum of two visitors to enter the Intensive Care Unit at once, he allowed all of the patient’s relatives inside at once after they pleaded that they had traveled a long way to see the boy. The doctor said he, however, forgot to tell the boy’s family members to speak softly and use their “indoor voice” especially since the boy had recovered just hours back.
The relatives entered the ICU and got so excited on seeing the boy that they cheered for him loudly. The boy also got so excited seeing the family members that his brain’s blood vessels ruptured again and he fell into coma. Sensing that something was wrong, the doctor rushed to the ICU. However, by the time he could monitor the teen’s blood pressure, it was too late and he had already slipped into a coma.
Fortunately, after three days of intensive care and constant monitoring, the teen recovered and woke up from coma.
