Griffin Johnson’s joke that appeared to poke fun at female comedians has not gone down too well with Twitter users who found it misogynistic.

"They nicknamed me girl cause I’m not funny," he tweeted Tuesday.

Several people found the tweet misogynistic and took to the comments section to show their disapproval.

"That was not funny. Not amused. Not a laugh. Not a chuckle. Not a Haha or even a hehe. That was not funny at all. I would be embarrassed if i were you. You need a tutor on comedy and on humor cuz this just aint it. It was terrible. It was horrible. It was NOT funny," one user commented.

"Just cause boys joke about rape and homophobia doesn’t make boys funny," wrote another user.

Several people also gave the TikToker tips on deactivating his account.

"Tap Settings and privacy. Tap Account, then tap Deactivate your account at the bottom. Read the account deactivation information, then tap Deactivate. Enter your password when prompted and tap Deactivate. Confirm that you want to proceed by tapping Yes, deactivate," one person commented.

"The dumbest thing i’ve heard all day, now deactivate pls," another wrote.

Following the backlash, Johnson issued an apology saying, "I am sorry to anyone this offended btw, girls are funny."

However, minutes later, he retweeted a "notes app" apology which was made by another user. The apology seemed sarcastic.

Johnson later put out a tweet saying, "Jokes make me happy when I am sad."

This is not the first time the TikToker is facing the ire on social media. After he broke up with Dixie D’Amelio in the wake of cheating allegations, he uploading a "fake" apology earlier this month.

"The real story… of how I messed up," the description of the video read. People assumed that it was an apology to his ex-girlfriend, however, it wasn’t the case. The video was just an "apology" to his fans because he didn’t hit the one million subscription mark on YouTube.

"I made a bet with Bryce that I was going to hit a million subs on YouTube before his birthday. I messed up… just wanted to tell you guys I’m sorry," he sarcastically said in the video. He found himself in hot water after people stormed the comments section calling the video "misleading" and "fake."
