Tom Selleck is celebrating the season of giving by joining the 2020 tip challenge.

Selleck, 75, was feeling extra generous and dropped a $2,020 tip at Elio's restaurant in New York City on a $204 bill. His "Blue Bloods" co-star Donnie Wahlberg revealed Selleck's generosity on Twitter, sharing snaps of the receipt as proof.

"I found out that my TV Dad #TomSelleck has generously accepted the #2020TipChallenge at Elios Upper East Side!" Wahlberg, 51, tweeted.

The photos show Selleck had accompanied the tip with a short note crediting Wahlberg for starting the tip challenge. "For Elios, I am honoring my friend Donnie Wahlberg's 'Tip Challenge' with my sincere hope for a better 2020. Thank you all," he wrote.

However, Wahlberg denied this, adding, "Love ya dad. I didn't start it but I'm proud to be part of it. To those who gave even the smallest extra amount this year — THANK YOU. #spreadloveandlovewillspread."

Twitter users praised Selleck and Wahlberg, who play a father and son on CBS' police procedural drama TV series "Blue Bloods," for their generosity.

"Like Son, like Father!! Both of you are kind hearted men!!! #2020TipChallenge," one commented.

"Wow! That is very cool of Tom to do. Yesterday when John and I went out grocery shopping. The clerk asked us if we wanted to donate an extra 2 to feed a family of 6 we said sure that felt very good to do. We always try to help out the food banks even if we are struggling too," another wrote.

"I love this! I know this truly made their day & year!! #TomSelleck #2020TipChallenge Merry Christmas to All!!" a third user added.

The 2020 Tip Challenge began earlier this year in January when a server named Danielle Franzoni at Thunder Bay River Restaurant in Michigan received a $2,020 tip on a $23 bill.

With both of his parents having worked in the service industry, Wahlberg is known for dropping huge tips. The actor and his wife, Jenny McCarthy, kicked off this year by leaving a $2,020 tip at an IHOP in Illinois on New Year's Day.

He repeated his act of kindness when he visited Marshland restaurant in Plymouth, Massachusetts by giving the same amount on a $35 bill, People reported.

The tipping trend kept growing among celebrities. Harry Styles also gave a $2,020 tip while vacationing in Anguilla back in January where he was joined by Adele and longtime pal James Corden.
