Tina Fey was trending on Twitter Tuesday, but in an ironic twist, it was actually because a number of people apparently didn’t know who she was.

For those that don’t know or those who care to learn more, Elizabeth Stamatina “Tina” Fey was born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. The 49-year-old, who is married to Jeff Richmond and is also a mom of two, wears many hats when it comes to show business. Here's a look at four professional areas where she has left her mark.

Writer

As Britannica reports, Fey’s writing career took off in 1997 after she submitted a sketch for “Saturday Night Live.” She was hired and was later appointed as the head writer for the series, the first woman to hold the position. She and the rest of the writing staff won an Emmy for outstanding writing for a variety, music, or comedy program in 2002.

She also wrote the film “Mean Girls,” starring Lindsay Lohan, and television series “30 Rock,” which was based on her “SNL” career. “30 Rock” aired for seven seasons and earned her another three Emmy awards for writing.

Comedian

Not only has Fey written for "SNL," but she’s established quite the career as a comedian for starring in a number of the show’s comedy skits. Most notably, the star does a great Sarah Palin impersonation.

She was also able to show off her sense of humor as a host of the Golden Globe Awards from 2013-2015. She, alongside Amy Poehler, had a number of jokes throughout the gig, one of which involved a well-known actor’s dating life.

“Gravity is nominated for best film. It’s the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age,” she joked at the 2013 ceremony.

Actress

In addition to her "SNL" roles, Fey has starred in a number of films. Her most popular roles include a teacher, Ms. Norbury, in “Mean Girls” and leading lady Claire Foster in “Date Night.” Other film credits include “Mega Mind,” “Baby Mama,” and “Admission.” The actress has also appeared in a number of series, such as her own “30 Rock” as Liz Lemon and Amazon Original Series “Modern Love.” More recently, she’s appeared in a number of All-State commercials.

Producer

Fey also has a number of producing credits. “30 Rock” makes the list again along with the sitcom “Great News.” Her most recent popular executive producing credit is for the Netflix original series “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” The show, which premiered in 2015, lasted for four seasons with a total of 51 episodes. She also produced the film “Sisters,” in which she starred alongside Poehler. The comedy made $105 million in the worldwide box office.
