Jennifer Aniston forgave Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie after breaking her heart for a reason.

Pitt and Aniston were among the A-list Hollywood couples when they were still together. Many thought that they were perfect for each other because he was the “Sexiest Man Alive” while she was America’s sweetheart.

Pitt and Aniston got married in 2000, but they divorced in 2005. There were rumors claiming that Pitt had an affair with Jolie while they were filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” in 2004. Shortly after they announced their split, Jolie and Pitt were seen frolicking at the beach with her son, Maddox.

Aniston didn’t hide her anger when Jolie said that she couldn’t wait to get to work while filming with Pitt. Aniston said that those details were a “little inappropriate to discuss” and added that what Jolie said was really “uncool.” But after all the things that happened, Aniston chose to forgive them because she is a “forgiving person.”

“I absolutely am. I think it's extremely important to forgive,” Aniston told Harper’s Bazaar.

“Otherwise it just builds up like toxic waste. There’s nothing worse than holding a grudge. Listen, people can do unforgivable things, but you have to let it go and say, ‘Look, we’re all human beings. We make mistakes.’ To hold any kind of resentment is like taking rat poison and waiting for the rat to die.”

However, according to an insider, Aniston told her pals that she would never speak with Jolie ever again. Aniston and Jolie had an encounter once at a car park before Jolie’s film with Pitt.

The “Friends” alum pulled over and introduced herself to the “Maleficent 2” star since she already knew back then that she would be Pitt’s partner in the movie. Aniston even told Jolie that Pitt was excited to work with her and she hoped that they would have a “really good time.”

At present, Aniston and Pitt remain good friends. The “Ad Astra” star even attended Aniston’s birthday bash back in February. Many are hoping that Pitt and Aniston could rekindle their romance since they are both single.
