Young and the Restless
Billy (Jason Thompson) makes a big gamble on the July 5, 2018 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”  CBS

His destructive past as a gambler has been resurfacing ever since he joined a poker game Summer hosted at the apartment. Now, Billy will wind up losing something major when he continues to play risky games on the Thursday, July 3 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

After Summer (Hunter King) returned to Genoa City on the CBS soap, she quickly started taking actions which threatened everything Billy (Jason Thompson) has done to rebuild his life. Not only did she make passes towards him, despite the fact that he’s been dating her mother, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), but she also hooked him back into the dangerous world that had landed him in so much trouble in the past.

Summer got things started by hosting a poker game in the apartment they all shared, which Billy was eventually convinced to join in on. Since then, he has resumed his gambling habits, secretly playing in other poker games at the Athletic Club and other venues behind Phyllis’ back. So far, it hasn’t presented a major problem for him because he hasn’t lost anything. That will all change however when he again starts up a match—one that is incredibly high stakes.

When Billy once again heads to the club and winds up in a game, things will quickly go to the extreme when it comes to what is at stake in the pot. Among the things Billy will throw in to sweeten the winnings will be the keys to his Yacht, Jaboat, which he bought for the family company. However, his lucky streak will officially run out as he loses—meaning the boat is no longer in his possession. This could cause him to panic because it will be hard to explain how the boat disappeared

This will not only be damaging in terms of the company but also with Phyllis since she had been particularly excited about the yacht. Now, if he has to own up to losing it, he will have to think of a reasonable excuse. However, in an effort to now own up to the fact that he is once again a gambling addict, Billy may decide that the only thing he can do is win it back—but that could land him in even more trouble at a later date.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
