When you have stomach bloating, you may feel and notice your belly growing in size. It may also be accompanied by an uncomfortable feeling. 

Dr. Kyle Staller, a Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital gastroenterologist, revealed that you might have distension sensations. You may also notice your abdomen area appearing bigger than usual.

Conditions that Cause Stomach Bloating

Sometimes, stomach bloating may be a sign of an underlying condition or disorder. These conditions or disorders include celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome or IBS, and gastroparesis. In the worst cases, it may even have been caused by some types of cancers.

When symptoms like bloating, cramps, and gas accompanied by constipation or diarrhea happens, it may be already warning you that something is not right in your digestive tract. Several factors may be pointed out as the reason this happened. One of such is an inadequate amount of healthy bacteria caused by candida overgrowth.

Other Causes of Stomach Bloating

In rare cases, stomach bloating may be a signal of dysbiosis. This is a situation where the amount of good and bad bacteria in the gut is not balanced. Many kinds of fungi live in and on your body, which includes a yeast genus called candida. At normal levels, candida may not cause serious problems. When the fungus begins to grow, however uncontrollably, it may lead to an infection called candidiasis. According to health professionals, candida is often the cause of fungal infections in humans.

Preventing Candidiasis

The best method of treating candidiasis and preventing it from coming back is to go to the root of the cause. Health experts say that carbohydrates, refined sugars, and particular dairy products promote the uncontrollable growth of candida and other bad microorganisms. 

Consuming too much of these food types may promote infection, particularly if you have a suppressed immune system. On the other hand, some foods encourage the growth of good bacteria and, at the same time, inhibit candida growth. Examples of these foods are nuts, fruits, pulses, vegetables, and whole grains.
