Even though Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston finalized their divorce in 2005, there have been numerous stories published over the last year alleging the stars have gotten back together.

Now that 2021 has arrived, it is the perfect opportunity to clear up some of the rumors that were spread about the exes. Check out five of the craziest Aniston-Pitt rumors from 2020:

Aniston And Pitt Back Together

After the exes were photographed hugging at the 2020 SAG Awards in January, rumors began to circulate that the actors would get back together. However, since then, multiple sources have insisted that the exes have a strictly platonic relationship.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that Aniston, 51, intentionally steers clear of Pitt, 57, to avoid reunion rumors.

“Brad and Jen started talking after their relationships ended. They have seen each other but only occasionally and casually,” the insider explained. “Jen frequently gets photographed, so she was conscious of avoiding Brad because, while she has always adored him, she never wanted to start any rumors.”

Aniston Banned From Seeing Pitt’s Kids

Woman’s Day published a report in March claiming Angelina Jolie, Pitt's ex, banned Aniston from seeing their six kids whenever they spend time with the actor.

“Angelina has privately demanded that Jen be banned from seeing her kids. And to add insult to injury, she has filed for a new child custody evaluation against Brad,” a source told the outlet. “It’s come as a huge shock to everyone — including the kids.”

However, there is no evidence suggesting Pitt and Aniston have been spending time together. Meanwhile, Jolie and Pitt have been battling over custody of their children since their split in 2016.

A source told Us Weekly in December that Pitt and Jolie’s egos have been the main cause of the custody dispute. “Brad and Angelina are equally responsible for the never-ending drama. Sadly, their children are collateral damage.”

Pitt Chose Lady Gaga Over Aniston

New Idea published a story in late December suggesting that Pitt had grown close to Lady Gaga on the set of the upcoming action-thriller “Bullet Train” and had checked out of his rumored relationship with Aniston.

“He’s kind of half-listening to her, very distracted and often making excuses to ‘take a work call,’” an alleged source told the site the pal. “She’s seen him do this before with Angelina – and she’s also seen her old friend Bradley [Cooper] do the same thing to Irina [Shayk] when he was working with Gaga.”

Although Pitt and Gaga are working on the film, there haven’t been any credible reports of a blossoming on set romance. In early December, the film was shut down after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19.

Aniston Considered Giving Up Alcohol For Pitt

In February, Radar Online published an article claiming that Aniston was so impressed by Pitt’s sobriety that she was willing to give up alcohol for the sake of their relationship.

“Jen and a lot of her friends were skeptical, but now that they’ve experienced Brad’s sobriety in the flesh, a hard truth has come over Jen: She has to give up alcohol if she’s going to have any hope of rekindling their relationship,” a supposed insider revealed.

“That’s a lot easier said than done because booze is a big part of her everyday life and she longs for that martini at the end of a hard day.”

While Pitt and Aniston have remained friendly over the years, there have been no credible reports suggesting she planned to give up drinking for Pitt.

Aniston Formed A Close Bond With Pitt’s Daughter

A report from New Idea released in September said that Shiloh, Pitt's 14-year-old child with Jolie, developed a special relationship with Aniston while spending time at her house.

“She confided this in Jen a few weeks back when they were both visiting Brad,” an unidentified source said.

“Jen has always had a soft spot for Shiloh and feels sorry for her being stuck between two parents, and told her she was always welcome to come and spend time at her place. Shiloh jumped at the chance and Brad was all for it.”

However, there has been no evidence or credible sources who have verified whether Aniston has ever met any of Pitt’s kids. Furthermore, a report by Us Weekly released that same month revealed that Jolie and Pitt were taking special precautions to ensure their children’s safety amid the coronavirus pandemic.
